I have wanted to visit Jamaica for years and only recently found the opportunity. In preparation for my trip, I searched the web for advice and travel services that would assist me in seeing the Jamaica that reflects the experience of the locals. The advertisements showing a Jamaica of white sand beaches and smiling families frolicking in the waves has never struck me as the real Jamaica. I certainly wanted to experience those beautiful beaches and sea; at the same time, I wanted to feel close to the real life of the people who keep that country alive and vital for foreign tourists like me.

I sought a restful and enjoyable several days away from the hectic life I lead and Vanessa helped me find it. I wanted a comfortable yet off-the-beaten-path accommodation and Vanessa delivered it. I imagined the ocean sounds lulling me to sleep after an evening of music and dancing to the local beats and Vanessa delivered the perfect spots.

I learned about Jamaica, its past and present; I was driven over small back roads through incredibly gorgeous forest and plains; I developed a taste for local food, met interesting people, and generally left my normal life behind. Vanessa is a consummate professional in every sense of the word -- from her knowledge of the place to her skill at avoiding possible unpleasant encounters. She knows all the best values and the undiscovered local spots and exercises appropriate caution when faced with a potential difficulty. I highly recommend See Jamaica Cheaply and plan to use it exclusively on my future travels to her country. My experience in Jamaica will bring my back many times in the future.
